Campbell’s Covered Bridge Proposal – Caitlyn + Dusty

Another one of my favorite things about my job is that we get to witness huge life changing moments. Whether it be the couples first kiss as a married couple, their first dance , or in this case the moment she said yes, it is always an awesome feeling to capture those moments for people to be forever documented. The setting for this Campbell’s Covered Bridge proposal couldn’t have been more perfect. Seriously, Dusty raised the bar for other grooms to be. With a little help from friends and family he pulled off the perfect surprise proposal. Caitlyn had no idea.

The leaves had begun to change a perfect golden color. Their was a slight crisp hint of fall in the air. The weather was perfect. He had a trail of rose petals and candle filled Mason jars paving the way to the spot where it would happen. Balloons adorned the railways along side flowers and a photo of them together. She was told that they would be going to Campbell’s covered bridge to take family pictures. The best part of this was that her entire family, even some out of town members would be there to witness this life changing event.

Dusty hid behind some trees as she arrived. As she was led to the path where the rose petals started he met her and took her hand. He led her up the path singing a song by George Strait. As they reached the top of the steps he took to one knee and asked her the question. She of course said Yes!  The entire family there to congratulate the newly engaged couple.

After the proposal we spent some time taking some shots with the newly engaged couple and even had some time for some family photos. I can’t thank them enough for choosing us to document this important moment in their life. It was so cool to be a part of this.
