Clemson Wedding – Huguenot Loft Reception – Sarah + Jason
Most weddings are fun, and then there are some that are so much fun that the word fun doesn’t do them justice. Sarah and Jason’s wedding and Huguenot Loft reception was one of those. The wedding party was so much fun to work with, the guests had a great time, the weather was perfect for the evening, and there was this overwhelming feeling of togetherness that surrounded the event. Add to that a couple that was so obviously crazy in love for each other and it made it the perfect event. When weddings go this flawlessly it makes our job even that much more fun.
We arrived at the Marriot in downtown Greenville to meetup with the girls while they had makeup and hair done. Its funny, I can usually tell by the first ten minutes we walk in to see the bride and the bridesmaids how the day is going to go. From the moment we walked in to see Sarah and her girls it was evident that it was going to be a good day. After we spent some time with them we had to pack it up in the car and head to Clemson to see the guys. Our original plan was to meet them at the baseball stadium for some photos but we arrived to find out that there was actually a game being played there. The backup plan…the indoor football complex. Those of you that know us know that Anne and I are huge football fans so this made my day. It made for some of my favorite groomsmen shots so far. I could have spent all day in there taking photos even with the fact that there is no air conditioning in there.(Yes it was hot…real hot…the guys were total troopers and didn’t complain once)
After our time with the guys we headed back to the church to take some photos of Sarah getting ready. One of my favorite moments of the day was when Sarah’s dad saw her for the first time in the dress. I LOVE the photo of this moment. After some time with the girls out in front of the church it was time for the ceremony. What a beautiful ceremony it was, and we were able to get some unique views of it thanks to the balcony at the church After some time with the family doing formals it was back to Greenville for the reception.
The Huguenot Loft has quickly become one of my favorite venues to shoot at. Whoever designed that building just gets it. The natural light is perfect and other spots in the building are perfectly lit. There is just a mojo that can’t be explained to the light in that space. The reception was a blast. DJ’s Allen and Lee Ann kept the party going all night. We even had a special guest by the one and only Clemson Tiger. This family has a love for Clemson unlike any other and I don’t think I’ve ever heard a louder Clemson cheer at a wedding.
The end of the evening was capped off by the couple making their grand exit through a sea of orange Clemson shakers held up by the guests. We had such a great time with Sarah, Jason, their family, and their friends. Please enjoy some of my favorite shots from their AMAZING wedding.
