Berea First Baptist – Larkin’s Sawmill Wedding – Haley + Reese
Another thing about this job that is so great is developing long term relationships with families. I’ve often said I hate to use the word client because the people we work with end up being our friends. We met Haley several years ago when her brother and his wife chose us to shoot their wedding. To this day that was one of the most fun weddings we have ever been a part of. You could tell that the families were close and everybody had such a good time. So that being said ,when we saw Haley at a bridal show last year and she asked us to shoot her wedding we were ecstatic. After meeting Reese and spending time with them together during their engagement session it was obvious that these two were meant for each other. I’m telling you after several years of doing this, I can tell just by the way a couple looks at each other, but i digress.
We met up with Haley and her girls at the ceremony location, Berea First Baptist. I love shooting here because it is one of the prettiest churches in the upstate. Gorgeous columns out front and there is this one room with wall to wall window light for days. We hung out as the bridesmaids helped Haley with the dress and then we took some of my favorite shots of the day in as I like to call it “the window light room”. After that we headed out front and the rain held off just long enough for us to get some great shots of the girls and the guys. Before the ceremony I headed back with the guys to get some shots of Reese reading a letter he received from Haley and then took some candids of the grooms all watching the FSU-Clemson game in the back music room.
After a beautiful wedding ceremony at Berea First Baptist it was off to The Larkin’s Sawmill Wedding reception! The place was decorated beautifully with the centerpiece of the two rooms being a gorgeous masterpiece wedding cake by Kathy and Co. What a fun reception it was! George from Carolina Party Professionals kept the party going and it’s always great to see our friends at Shutter Booth there with the photo booth. And did I mention how great of a dancer Reese is. Seriously that guy can move. I was blown away. The end of the night was capped off by the couples grand exit though a sea of confetti.
We had so much fun with Haley, Reese, their awesome families, and their amazing bridal party. I can’t thank them enough for letting us be a part of this big day!
Here are some of my favs from the day. Enjoy!
