Westin Poinsett – Bridal – Pre Wedding Session – Savannah
When looking for a place to shoot her bridal session Savannah had a vision in mind for a place full of southern charm and I believe we found that and more at the Westin Poinsett. It have to admit it is probably one of my favorite areas of downtown Greenville to shoot at. Every time we are there I feel like we find new spots or angles from the time before.
We met Savannah at the Westin Poinsett in the afternoon and after a quick putting on of her amazing dress. (Yes it is absolutely stunning!) we started up in the Gold Room. We had some amazing window light to work with and quickly used that at our disposal. Once we were finished there we headed outside and down the street before we lost sunlight for the day. The clouds could not have been better. As the sun went down we made our way back up to the Westin for a few final shots when by chance we gained access to the rooftop. Usually this is reserved for brides that get married at the Westin, but thanks to one of the managers being longtime friends with Savannah we were greeted with the downtown skyline in minutes. It was the perfect way to end the session.
We had a great time with Savannah. I can’t wait to share her amazing wedding photos. In the meantime, please enjoy some of my favorites from her Westin Poinsett Bridal session.
The photo above was one of my favorites from the session. The downtown Greenville skyline was the perfect backdrop for this shot. I love being on the roof at the Westin at night. Its a whole different view of the city we love!
Love the decor of the Gold Room at the Westin. It’s vintage flair is unlike any other!
This was the shot Savannah used as her bridal portrait at her wedding.
We love doing backlit shots like this. The leading lines of the buildings made this feel so epic!
The vintage tile floors of the Westin Poinsett make a great backdrop for a bride, especially when shot from the balcony above.
There is no place in downtown Greenville, SC like the rooftop of the Westin Poinsett.
