Zen Greenville Wedding and Reception – Tiffany + Eric – Greenville SC Wedding Photographer
What an awesome day. Tiffany and Eric’s Zen Wedding and Reception was perfect in every way. The venue was decorated immaculately. I mean it was a text book example of what a modern, elegant event should be. The weather was a perfect spring day in downtown Greenville,SC. Every detail of the reception from the delicious food to the amazing band couldn’t have been better. And lets not forget one of the absolute coolest couples that we have had the pleasure to work with. And they are absolutely crazy about each other.
We started off the day meeting up with the girls in the Suite at Zen where they were getting their hair and makeup done. After some shots of the dress and shoes, I made my way outside to where the guys were while Anne stayed with the girls. The groom received his awesome gift from the bride and then we made our way to get ready for the first look. They had one of the most creative first looks I have seen in a while. They both held bunches of balloons and at the same time lifted them up to reveal each other. It was way cool and made for some fun shots. We then journeyed down Main Street for a few shots and went back for some wedding party and family shots. The wedding party was cool enough to pose for a totally outside of the box staggered shot of them very reminiscent of Vanity Fair magazine covers. They totally rocked it!
The ceremony was held in the bamboo Garden outside at Zen in a completely stunning setting. You almost forget that you are in the middle of downtown Greenville. From there it was on to cocktail hour in the Lotus Lounge and then to the Studio for the reception where guests dined on some tasty dishes prepared by Good Life Catering. Those guys always knock it out of the park and this was no exception. And their staff is always amazing to work with. And one of my favorite parts of this awesome party was the band. Java out of Charlotte,NC rocked the house! They put on an amazing show playing everything from Nelly and Prince to Journey. (And an awesome mixup of Gin and Juice) They even called Eric (who plays guitar) up on stage to play a couple of songs with them. He totally shredded on a Santana song! And it was totally unscripted. Anyone who knows me will tell you I tell it like it is when it comes to musicians having been one since I was 13 years old myself. These guys were a treat. They are playing one of the outdoor events downtown in the Summer. If you get a chance check them out. About midway though the reception we went on a sunset trek down the tracks a bit and got some amazing sunset shots. The night was capped off by a glow stick leave as they were whisked away in a limo.
We had an unbelievable time with Tiffany, Eric and their family and friends. We are so gracious that they chose us to document this day and be a part of a wedding that I will always remember. I feel like we have made friends for life with these two.
Please enjoy some of my favs from the day!
