Certain situations always excite me as a photographer. Shooting at an amazing venue that is new to us is definitely one of those situations. Another is when our couples really take the time to plan the timeline to allow for plenty of photography time. Needless to say Caroline and Phil’s Wedding at The Rutherford and St. Mary Magdalene had both!
We started off the day at the always fabulous St. Mary Magdalene. We got to spend some time with the families and wedding party as they finished getting ready for the day and then it was on to the ceremony. After a beautiful ceremony we took some family photos at the church then headed to the Rock Quarry Garden with the wedding party for some photos there. I LOVE that Caroline and Phil planned this time in their day., It really makes such a difference when we get to spend some relaxed time with our couples to get creative and have some fun. It adds so much to the experience of their day.
From there we went to The Rutherford to get the party started. The room was immaculately decorated for the reception. And instead of place cards they had luggage tags that directed guests to tables that were adorned with places that were special to the couple. Such a neat and personal idea! The reception was a blast , with so many moments. The guests danced and mingled the night away until it was time for the couple to make an epic grand exit through a sea of sparklers, then away into a limo!
What a day it was. I can’t thank these two, their families, and their friends enough for being so awesome. Please enjoy some of my favorite shots of the day!
