Greenville SC Engagement Session – Jessica + Phillip
Perfect weather and downtown Greenville,SC…that’s a perfect combination for the backdrop of an awesome pre-wedding engagement session. Jessica and Phillip chose Falls Park and downtown as the setting for their session because their first date was downtown. I absolutely love it when couples choose a place that is special to them for their engagement session. And when that special place just happens to be one of the most beautiful downtown areas in the country (yes I am biased) then it is just an added bonus.
We met outside of High Cotton and ventured down into the park behind the Peace Center making stops at the Wyche Pavilion and on the small bridge that crosses the Reedy on that side. Along the way there were several people that stopped to congratulate them on their engagement. Yet another reason that I love my city…because everyone for the most part is friendly. I guess that is the whole southern hospitality thing, but I digress. As we walked Phillip and Jessica were telling us about the rest of their wedding planning and their after wedding plans of moving to Houston. This is a prime example of why I love engagement sessions and recommend them to all of our bride and grooms. It gives us a chance to get to know them and make a personal connection before the wedding. And as a plus it gets them comfortable with us and in front of the camera.
After exploring that side of the park we ventured to the other side where we explored some more stopping at several locations along the way to take some awesome shots. I love the one of them sitting on the steps! After making our rounds to that side of the park, and a quick outfit change we decided to stroll down to the west end before coming back to capture an awesome sunset.
We are so looking forward to their wedding at the Commerce Club in July! Please enjoy some of my favorites from this Greenville SC engagement session!
