Falls Park Engagement Session – Karina + Blake – Greenville, SC
It just doesn’t get much better than a Falls Park engagement session on a gorgeous fall day. I truly believe that Greenville,SC is one of the best places in the country. (Yeah I’m a little biased) If you have ever doubted that then take a stroll through Falls Park as the leaves begin to change. We seriously could not have asked for better weather for Karina and Blake’s engagement session. The leaves were hitting peak color, the sun was bright as can be, and it was almost 70 degrees with no wind. The perfect setting for some photos to celebrate these two’s engagement.
I met them at the top of the park near Mary’s cottage where the light was amazing. They both totally rocked the perfect look for this session. The key to good styling for an engagement session is simple : coordinate but don’t match. They nailed it. After some shots at the top of the park we wandered down to the steps and over the small bridge to the massive “roots” tree that is so famous in downtown. After some shots there we headed up to the back of the park to one of my favorite spot that really shows off the epitome of fall in the south. If you catch the light just right there everything has that fall glow to it. It’s crazy. I’ve said it before that during October and November the quality of sunlight just has a certain mojo to it for lack of better words.
We strolled down the park back to a grassy opening for some more shots including a perfect execution of what i like to call the lift shot. Seriously if you want to know what that pose is supposed to look like…see this shot. We ended the evening with some fun silhouette shots back at the top of the park.
It was so much fun hanging out with these two and getting to know them. I can’t wait for their 2016 wedding!
Enjoy some of my favorites from the day!
