Duncan Estate Bridal Session – Mary Beth – Spartanburg Wedding Photography

I will say it again…the hardest thing about doing bridal sessions is waiting until after the wedding to be able to show them to the world. From the moment we began shooting Mary Beth’s bridal session at the beautiful Duncan Estate in Spartanburg I knew that  it was going to be hard to wait months to able to show these photos.

When we arrived at the Duncan Estate there were a few rain showers in the area that looked to pass soon so we started inside.  Now for those who have never been to the Duncan Estate I have to tell you, when you walk it is amazing. A grand staircase right in the foyer, with rooms to each side that are decorated with a vintage style that can only be described as true southern charm.  A perfect setting for an amazing bridal session.

After we shot some inside, the storms seemed to have passed with very little rain so we ventured outside but not before first making a stop at the double doors that lead to the outdoor patio for an awesome naturally backlit shot of Mary Beth. I really love this shot because it shows of the ornate detail of the back of her beautiful dress. I’m sure Anne could describe the dress better with the correct terminology for style etc, but all I can say it was amazing.

The lighting on the patio was perfect. I have to admit some of my favorite images were made right after passing rain storms and these were no exception. We then strolled to the front of the Duncan Estate to take some epic shots using the house as a perfect backdrop. After some time out front ,we ventured to the back of the property where some bamboo was growing to take some amazing backlit shots of Mary Beth to end the evening.

Mary Beth did an amazing job and was such a beautiful bride. I will say it again that it was so hard not to show these photos the moment we took them. Please enjoy some of my favorites and keep checking the blog for some amazing shots from her wedding coming soon!
