Tori and Mike’s wedding at The Old Cigar Warehouse is a prime example of why I absolutely love my job. I mean I know Ive said it before that being a wedding photographer is the best job in the world for me, but when you get to experience celebrations like this and work with awesome people like these two (and their families and friends) it totally takes it to another level. These two were absolutely amazing. Despite an impending threat of bad weather (which we have had for what it seems like a lot this year) they were totally laid back, completely put their trust in us as to do what we do, and you could tell that they really enjoyed their wedding day. I can’t thank them enough for being so cool.
We met up with the wedding party at The Old Cigar Warehouse and were able to sneak in some shots outside on the deck before the first wave of showers came through. After that Tori and Mike decided on a first look (which I love!) in the main hall. It was such a sweet moment seeing the look on their faces as they saw each other for the first time on their wedding day. Soon after we were able to go outside for a few shots of the couple before moving inside for the ceremony. Tori made a grand entrance down the staircase accompanied by her father. I love the personal touches they incorporated into the ceremony complete with a knot tying ceremony. Afterwards the wedding party and guests made their way into the cellar for dinner until it was time to get the party started.
The reception was a blast! Guests danced and mingled and one of my favorite moments had to be Tori’s father’s speech. He totally started off by calling MIke’s phone and delivering the speech from the movie “Taken”. Which was on point given his Irish accent! As the reception winded down so did the Greenville Drive game next door which meant one thing…fireworks! What an epic moment! After the show in the sky the couple went inside for a couple of dances and it was off on a horse drawn carriage to end the evening.
This wedding, this couple, I can’t say enough how much we really enjoyed it. I can’t wait for everybody to see these photos. Please enjoys some of my favs!
