Rebecca and Thomas’s summer wedding at Symmes Chapel was perfect in so many ways. First off it was an amazing day at one of our favorites places to shoot and visit, Pretty Place. Photographing that location is always so much fun because every time we are there its always just a little different, whether it be the lighting or a slight difference in the color of the surrounding foliage. One thing for sure is that it never disappoints in the view. If you have never been stop what you are doing now and plan a day drive up there. It is breathtaking and you will thank me later.
The second way that made this day so perfect was we had an amazing couple that was surrounded by a small group of their closest friends and family. Its no secret that I love intimate weddings and in this location it just felt even more intimate for a lack of better words. After the ceremony we headed back to an amazing cabin (which can be found on airbnb!) just a couple of miles from the chapel. It was there that family and friends gathered on the huge wrap around porch and celebrated these two tying the knot.
While we were there we had to explore this amazing property with the happy couple and its awesome backdrops for photos. It was like our own forest/mountain paradise complete with several water features. Seriously this place was amazing. And to think we have driven by the driveway numerous times and never even knew it was there.
It was truly our pleasure to be able to witness and document such an amazing day for an amazing couple. I can’t thank Rebecca and Thomas enough for bringing us along for this adventure. Please enjoy some of my favorite shots from the day!
