I’ve always said that colder weather makes for great engagement sessions. Mainly because when it’s cold you have no problem getting couples to get close. Well lets just say for Lauren and Cody’s Winter Falls Park engagement session it was optimum cuddling weather. The borderline freezing temps didn’t slow these two down a bit. They were total troopers. From the moment I arrived at Falls Park and started shooting they just brought it. And did I mention that I love the fact that they were down for whatever it took to get the shot. I must admit that sometimes on a session when an idea hits me, or when I see something whether its that perfect light or accent I ask our brides and grooms to stand in some non traditional places. Just one of the things that makes the whole experience fun. When our couples buy in to the process or “method to the madness” as I call it that is when the magic truly happens. When they forget about the camera being there and the real moments happen. And happen in perfect light haha. But I digress.
I had a blast with these two. We strolled though the park from golden hour to sunset . We even had the pleasure of taking a few with them and their amazing daughter. I mean seriously adorable! We ended the evening with some sunset shots on The Liberty bridge then down to the infamous “Taco Tree” (inside joke with our couples) for some fun playing with light as it got dark.
I can’t wait to celebrate with these two in the fall. Please enjoy some of my favs from this Winter Falls Park Engagement Session!
