Whitney and Nick were such a good time. When we first talked about doing their Winter Furman University Engagement Session I knew that they would be fun to work with. I don’t think words do justice to how thankful I am when our couples give us time to really get creative. I think that is when the best stuff happens when everybody is relaxed and ready to have a good time. That was definitely what it was like working with these two.
When we arrived at Furman we met up in one of my favorite spots, the Rose Garden. Set right off the lake at Furman, everything about this location just has a mojo about it. I mean right in the center there is a gazebo structure that was moved from its original home in Italy and donated to the University. The whole place is epic. We started off with some shot of these two strolling though the garden, then made our way to the gazebo for some shots. Afterwards we explored every little corner of the rose garden before moving out to the lake after a quick outfit change. That brings up a good tip for engagement sessions. I always encourage our couples to bring an outfit change to their session if there is a good place to change like there is at Furman. It allows for another change to the look that can sometimes make it look like a completely different session!
After some time by the lake we geared up for some sunset shots and then a quick panoramic shot of the rose garden right at twilight that has to be my favorite shot of the session. These two were such a great time and I can’t wait to celebrate with them in Columbia this spring for their wedding day! Please enjoy some of my favs from this awesome Furman engagement session!
