After Mark proposed to me, the very first thing I started looking at was photographers before I even looked at venues or dresses or anything else. I knew that I wanted my wedding to revolve around pictures. If you think about it, in 10 years all you have left are the memories and the pictures that remind you of those memories. So I searched and searched and searched. Being a photographer myself I knew this was going to be a very hard task to find someone that could handle me being anal about the smallest details that most people wouldn’t see because even if it was one of the most beautiful pictures ever, If one thing was out of place and I saw it, it would drive me crazy. So I looked at a ton of different photographers and I even talked to a few over the phone but even then I still just couldn’t put my finger on why I was so unsure of the photographers and that told me that I needed to keep searching. So I did.

Well, I came across Cureton Photography’s website and started looking at their work and instantly fell in love with what I was seeing and then the more I looked at the more I loved. So when Mark and I got home that evening I showed him the website and he agreed that he really liked what he was seeing. So, I believe it was at that moment when I decided to reach out to them about meeting up. Once John and I got on the phone and started talking I instantly knew they were who I wanted to be our photographers. We met up for a meeting to go over their portfolio and discuss more into details what we were looking for and it confirmed my initial instinct that they were who I wanted to handle some of the most important moments of my life.

I have to give John and Anne a ton of credit. I hate having other people take pictures of me because I’ve always been self conscious of the way I look when other people take pictures. I can honestly say that at each photo shoot (the engagement, bridals and the wedding) I was able to relax and not worry if the picture was being done from the right angle or if the pose they wanted me to do looked right. They truly enjoy what they do and know what they are doing. I’ve never in 30 years felt comfortable having pictures taken of myself until I met John and his wife Anne. When I say my pictures have turned out better than I could ever imagine, it doesn’t even begin to touch how much they went above my expectations.
