One of my favorite things to do in my job is shoot engagement sessions with our couples before their wedding. Aside from the obvious reason of getting to know our couples and spend time with them there are other reasons as well. One it takes us to places that we otherwise probably would have never seen. Like for instance the field with this cool vintage truck sitting in the middle of it that we used for Kayla and Chris’s Travelers Rest engagement session. Second it allows us to really slow things down and get stretch the creative process. It really is one of my favorite things.
I met up with Kayla and Chris at the Travelers Rest Fire Department for a few shots and then we headed out to one of their friends properties in Travelers Rest for some amazing shots out in their field. We got to use this really cool vintage truck as a backdrop and it did not disappoint. I had a great time chatting with these two and getting to know them better. I even heard some cool stories about some of the things Chris has seen as a fireman!
I can’t wait for their fall wedding! Check out some of my favs from this session!

We had a pretty amazing sunset for Chris and Kayla’s engagement session!
This old truck in the middle of the field we were shooting at was the perfect icing on the cake for the rustic vibe of this session!
These two were too cute!
I gotta thank them a lot for this shot. They didn’t hesitate at all to climb through the overgrown brush and rubble to stand in this worn shed. Anything for the shot!
This looks like it could be a movie poster! That sunset, that couple, the truck….
