The setting for Kristie and Pat’s late fall Symmes Chapel wedding was perfect. There was still some color on the trees, a warm glowing sun, and a crisp hint of the coming winter in the air. Surrounded by their close friends and family they pledges their vows to each other while overlooking the majestic Jones Gap valley. Perfection. I’ve always thought that If Anne and I had it to do over again that Pretty Place would definitely be in my top 5 choices list and I stand by that today. This place has a mojo to it that cant be explained only experienced. If you’ve never been , I highly recommend it. It’s a beautiful scenic drive about an hour and some change outside of Greenville,SC and worth every moment.
After a beautiful afternoon ceremony, we spent some time with Kristie and Pat around the chapel and then headed down the mountain for an epic sunset at the infamous Bald Rock (another one of my favorite spots on the planet) These two were so amazing to work with and I am so glad we got to meet them and document this amazing day.
Enjoy some of my favs from the day!

What a view! Its hard to beat the view from Symmes Chapel overlooking the Jones Gap valley for your wedding day. So epic!
We had an amazing sunset for Kristie and Pat’s wedding day!
If you have never experienced a sunset at Bald Rock then stop what you are doing and make plans to do so right now. It is absolutely breathtaking!
Symmes Chapel (aka Pretty Place) on a late fall afternoon.
So many sweet moments between Kristie and her daughter as she helped her get ready for the big day!
I’ve said it many times before but my favorite part of any wedding ceremony is when the groom sees his bride for the first time walking down the aisle. The look on Pat’s face is priceless.
After the ceremony at Pretty Place we stopped on the way down the mountain at Bald Rock for sunset.
