Star Wars, lightsabers, cool dogs, engagement sessions at sunset, these are a few of favorite things. When talking with Lauren and Daniel about their save the dates they mentioned the idea of a Star Wars engagement session. Needless to say I was all in for this. From the moment I first saw Star Wars as a kid until well…now I have been a huge fan. I mean looking around my office as I speak I see numerous Stormtrooper figures, a lightsaber, and sitting on the couch in my office are two throw pillows my wife custom made me with the Han Solo – Leia “I Love You…I Know” quote adorning them. Yeah, I’m the guy for this to say the least.
Arriving at the Grove at Pennington we started out with some shots of Lauren, Daniel, and Winnie. Winnie by the way is their amazing French Bulldog and my newest favorite model. And just in case you are wondering she is named after Winston Churchill not the Pooh bear who always gets his head stuck in the honey. I have to say my cats better watch out, hanging with Winnie makes me want a little Frenchy of my own. I mean we need a good mascot right? Now just to convince Anne of this. I’ll let you know how it goes. But I digress. After some shots with Winnie I spent some time roaming the grounds at the beautiful Grove at Pennington with the happy couple stopping for some moments here and there for a few shots having some laughs along the way.
As sunset approached we made our way into the forest and let the light saber battle commence! These guys rocked it! I mean total Jedi/Sith lord material!
These two were absolutely a blast to work with. I am so happy they chose us to be a part of their amazing wedding day, and I can’t wait to celebrate with them!
