Shooting at a new place always excites me. A new chance to get creative that hasn’t been done before, or at least hasn’t been done by me. When discussing locations, Aly mentioned shooting their engagement session at Lake Conestee Nature Park. I jumped at the idea after hearing all about the location and it did not disappoint. Neither did Aly and Luke as they were a blast to hang out and were so obviously crazy about each other. Lucky for us as well Aly has a lot of friends and family near the park so we had multiple locations( including that amazing open field) to work with after our time at the park. Such a fun session. I can’t wait for their wedding next fall!

It was a little chilly on the trails at Lake Conestee Nature Park, but the light was amazing!
One of my favorite shots from the whole session. After some time at the park we stopped at a nearby field owned by some of Aly’s family for some amazing golden hour shots.
You learn something new at every session. From this one my takeaway was it’s a lot harder than you think to get balloons to face just the right way with numbers written on them. Lucky for me not only were Aly and Luke a lot of fun but they were patient as well!
These two were so much fun! I had a blast hanging out with them!
That light. I was blown away by all the areas to shoot at Lake Conestee. I will definitely be back to check out the rest of this huge park!
We ended the session with some fun with Christmas lights. How did we get power to them in a field you might ask. Magic….or maybe a battery pack for a camera flash.
