From the moment we pulled up at the house for Liza and Matt’s Family Farm Engagement Session in Gray Court SC I was totally jealous. This place was awesome. I mean talk about peaceful. I’m talking, even with Google Maps it was a little hard to find out there, but so worth it. Rolling hills, huge trees, open fields, a barn, a pond, I mean this place was a dream location for this shoot. And to top it all off it has personal meaning as it is Matt’s family’s farm. I can’t stress enough how much I absolutely love it when couples put their personal touches on the entire experience from the engagement session all up to the wedding day.
Once we arrived we hopped in the all terrain golf cart and went for a ride. We got the grand tour of the property stopping at several locations from amazing trees, to fields, to even a stroll though the woods. I have to admit the whole time I was thinking in the back of my head how cool it would be to come back out here with four wheelers, but I digress! Along the way we got to chat and hear stories about these two and really get to hang out. That means so much to us and to our entire process for lack of better words. After a stroll around the property we made our way back up to the main barn for some shots there and then around the pond.
As the sun began to set we made our way to an outdoor covered patio area (that was amazing as well!) for some relaxed golden hour shots of the couple. Once the sky started doing its thing we went out in to the field where we were greeted by some mini donkeys. It was so cool! We had such a great time with Liza and Matt and can;t wait to celebrate with them next year!
