Furman Rose Garden Engagement Session – Savannah +Phillip
Sometimes thing have a way of working out for reasons that are unknown at the time. We have been trying to plan and shoot Savannah and Phillips engagement session since early last Fall. We were rained out so many times that I can’t count. After the last rainout they made the decision that maybe fall wansn’t meant to be and asked to move it to spring. Little did I know at the time that it was so we could have the absolute perfect light/weather (and a garden of blooming roses) for their Furman rose garden engagement session. Things definitely work out for a reason.
Even after a pileup on I-85 tried to cancel us again we all arrived at the rose garden at Furman to find more blooming roses that you could count. We started there having some fun with the surroundings and chasing light..literally. The sun was playing games ducking in and out of clouds that had us running for the perfect spot as it would peek out at times. It made for some absolutely stunning shots. From there we strolled around the lake a little before the sun went down where we were greeted with a sunset worthy of a postcard. Savannah and Phillip were so much fun to work with and I can’t wait for their upcoming wedding.
Please enjoy some of my favorites from the day.

We had some amazing light by the lake before the sun went down!
All of the roses were blooming in the rose garden at Furman!
If you are looking for a great place to shoot sunset photos than look no further than by the lake on Furman University campus. I love that you can see the Bell tower in the background.
And we always have to do an epic backlit finale shot. I love that this looks as if they are in a magical forest.
