Kristen and Thomas’s Clemson Lake and Botanical Garden Engagement session included two of my favorite places for photos in Clemson SC. The Botanical Garden is a great place for couples to take pre-wedding engagement photos. This time of year the plants are blooming and the weather was perfect. There are so many trails with great spots it is overwhelming in a good way. Every time we have been there it has never disappointed. Add to that the fact that we also took some photos by the lake at the rowing complex( which totally looks like a beach at certain angles even with the lake down a little). It truly was a great day.
We met up with Kristen and Thomas at the Botanical Garden first and took a few shots by the train before venturing off to explore the rest of the park. I always love doing engagement sessions with our couples before the wedding because it allows us to really get to know them better and build an even stronger personal connection, and that was definitely the case with these two. We had a blast strolling though the park and talking about everything under the sun! After the park we decided to head to the lake rowing complex for some sunset goodness and wow did the sunset blow us away. Seriously we hit the sunset lottery this night. The sky looked like it was on fire! I can’t think of a better place in Clemson to view it either. This location + this couple + an amazing sunset equaled pure magic.
We had such a great time and can’t wait to see these two again at their wedding!
